Treatment Approach
I take a warm, person-centered approach and draw from several therapeutic frameworks—always with an intersectional lens—to help you build self-acceptance, deepen insight, and grow.
Person-centered therapy is a collaborative style where you set the pace and goals, and the therapist offers empathy, respect, and nonjudgment. The idea is that, in a genuinely supportive space, you naturally move toward clarity, self-acceptance, and growth.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps you spot unhelpful patterns between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, then practice more balanced ways of thinking and responding. It’s practical and skills-based—often with brief “homework”—so you can see real-life changes between sessions.
Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your feelings, relationships, and choices today. By recognizing these themes together, you gain insight that opens space for new, healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
